A Silent Sea
There I was alone
in dreams, in thought,
I searched the highways
for some meaning,
I studied dreams
to find myself,
along came a goddess
on a web of gold
and I knew I had been caught
in her eyes, her smile
which tortured me,
by her words so kind and cruel,
she came, she went,
she left my heart
encased in a tomb
by a silent sea.
