Ode To A Loved One

All the things you say and do;

Your hair, your nose, your mouth and eyes,

The way you never tell me lies.

The little things that mean such a lot,

Like the way you accepted my tiny tot;

And the way you hold me close to your heart

Make my senses leap and dart.

All the strange habits I thought you had

Now they don't seem half so bad;

Maybe it's because I know you better

All due to one written love letter.

All the clever thoughts inside your head,

The way you take me to your bed;

To you it may be a little thing

But to me, it makes my heart sing

The letters and poems that you write,

The way we often pretend to fight;

For me there's only one cure,

For you to say tomorrow's our future.

Each day we spend together

Makes me wish they could last forever;

They could, my darling, it's up to you
